The basic working principle of ice storage air conditioning is as follows:
Cold storage stage: During the low load period of the power grid, the cooling agent (usually water) in the ice storage equipment (such as ice storage tank) is cooled to below the freezing point through the refrigeration unit, forming ice crystal or ice water mixture and storing the cold volume.
Release cooling stage (combined cooling): during the day when the peak power grid load and the air conditioning load is large, the ice storage equipment is no longer cooled, but through the cooling agent contact with the air treatment unit (AHU) or fan coil equipment, the cooling agent absorbs heat and melts, releasing the stored cooling, and providing cooling air for the building.
